podcast 003 - an interview with bryan sherwood

Episode 3 is our first interview for the Oremus Podcast - with my good friend, Bryan Sherwood, and Anglican Christian from here in Lexington - talking to Bryan about how he came to weave liturgical prayer into his life and what effect it has had. Oh, I didn't remember to do this in the actual podcast recording, but at one point before we pray, we're kidding around about "sext" - with a "t" - ha! Sext is the Latin name for the small Midday prayer in the Liturgy of the hours, so for the uninitiate, that's what that was all about.

podcast 002 - praying with others

Podcast number 2, already - amazing. Just a short episode - a recording of my wife, Liz, and I praying the Midmorning prayer for today - talking briefly about praying the Office with others.

podcast 001 - an introduction

Oremus podcast number 1! In this inaugural podcast, I'm introducing what Oremus is, why I'm doing it, etc. I actually recorded this in September of 2008, so the idea for this thing has been a live for a bit. I'm finally bringing it to life. Enjoy.

welcome

Welcome to Oremus, a Podcast about Liturgical Prayer and Monastic Practce "in the world." My hope is that what you hear in this Podcast will help you learn about how to weave liturigcal prayer into your own life, as well as how some other typically monastic practices can be part of the lives of most of us "normal" Christians.
