Spring Fever

Just this past Thursday, I got spring fever. Then, the next day it was so cold, and last night......IT SNOWED!! Unfortunately, as pretty as it is, we got ice and everything is coated and the roads are slushy. The picture on the left I took this morning, and I wonder if everything that had started to come up is going to be alright. I have to figure God knew what he was doing when he set it all in motion and that yes, the flowers that had started to come up are meant to go through such drastic things.

In the fall I planted a pretty little set of flowers, white tulips and grape hyacinths on each side of the sidewalk as you come to the front door. This picture is where some are planted and had started to poke their little green heads up. Looks as if someone did some marching band practice on them and I have to hope they weren't mashed beyond repair. Once the ice goes I guess we will see. The large hyacinths had started coming up as well, they are to the left of what you see there. I love those flowers, they are my favorite.

The other day I passed one of those small nursery's that plant and sell their own stuff and they had already tilled up their little patches of garden. I am wondering if I am too far behind. Then I think, how the heck can I till up my garden with my little tiller when it is either frozen or so wet that I would sink up to my ankles in mud? So, I wait, and look out the window at my vegetable garden area and dream about enlarging it and seeing things grow. And I tell myself to wait, wait, WAIT!!
