The waiting game
Well, it has been awhile. The garden has been put to bed and the roses are piled up with leaves and all the fall bulbs are in the ground. Now, we wait. I am sure there are things to be done, but I don't plan on doing them. Here in Lexington they have a free mulch give away next month, but since I broke my wrist and I am not back to 100% yet, it will just have to wait. I need another good layer of compost for the garden, but that can wait too. I did start another larger compost pile this past fall, I think I told you about it, maybe not. Anyway, it is just laying there with a bunch of leaves and all the plant residue from cleaning up the yard. It should be good to go come next fall. Compost is the best. I am beginning to wonder if I am going to be able to resist the seed planting bug. I am not very good at starting things from seed, well, I am sort of not good. All my broccoli and tomatoes came from seed. And I did start cucumbers outside, and beets, and beans. So, I guess if I had a better place to start the seeds inside it would be easier and better. HHHMMMM.......
