Organic gardeners are scavengers!!

So, every school day I take Meaghan to the bus stop. This morning on my way home I saw a treasure trove of mammoth proportions!! There on a side street were HUGE bags of leaves. I went back and took almost all of them. I have a tail end full of leaves from my moms house and I just happened to have one of the middle seats to the van moved and I had enough room to get 5 bags in there!! I have been waiting a year for this. Leaves are the best-est free-est things to put in your compost and around your plants getting them ready to settle in for a long winters nap! Here in just a bit I plan on going and doing a little maintenance and starting the clean up of the flower beds. Well, what will probably actually happen is I will wait til I am off for the next few days and do it all then. I am looking forward to getting things taken care of. Then I can start planning for next year.
