All people want is for someone to listen
We all like talking about ourselves, every last one of us. People like to talk about what they know, and what they like. Everyone wants someone to care about them and what is going on with them.What brings that to mind is an experience I had today. As you all know, Katey and I are going through the Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults. We were assigned our sponsor today. The same person will be sponsoring us both. I just kind of assumed they would ask me questions and try to figure out where I was and what I might be needing in this process. That is not how it worked today. I asked a few questions and he didn't stop talking about himself and what was going on with him until mass started. I guess it has been awhile since he got to tell his deal to someone or something like that.
Anyway, I just thought I would throw that out there, I am sure there was more I wanted to talk about but I am tired and my brain is not working.

Being lazy
That is what I am being this morning, L-A-Z-Y!! It is 8:30 and I should have already woken people up and started the day, but what am I doing? I am sitting here with a purring kitty in my lap and surfing the net. HA!! My bottom is getting numb though from remaining in one position for so long, I guess it is a price I am willing to pay.
My daughter likes the song "I'm Gonna Be (500 miles)" by the Proclaimers. I like it too. I haven't asked her why, other than it has a good beat, but I am guessing that she has romanticized the song. That is what she wants someone to feel about her. In general the song says a lot of things most women want their man to feel about them. That no matter what they are doing they have you in mind and getting back to be with you is a good thing. That they want to take care of you and semi adore you. I am not talking about stalking or anything bad.I really truly believe that is what most women want, to know they are desired by their guy, and that they want to take care of you. Guys are easy, they want their women to "rock their world". Sorry, don't mean to generalize but that is how we work. Not that women don't want their own world rocked, but they don't seem to focus on it at much as men do.
Ok, well, I just wanted to throw that out there.

Why I like fall
I think fall is the BEST season. I stood in the door this morning with the cool breeze pouring over me and thought, this is exactly why. I am very cold natured, but this is wonderful. If I could have THIS weather all the time, I would be very, very, very happy. Just cool enough to want to put on a jacket, but just warm enough to need not to. Beauty all around in the changing of the leaves and the hope for the next season to come. The knowledge of all that has grown in the passing season. Just the best.
