February 22, 2007
Alan made me Ok so Alan tagged me and I did it. Just a quick bit of news - my oldest got her drivers license yesterday. Congratulations Katey!! A - Available or Married? Married. B - Best Moment? Anytime I finish a task someone has told me I can't do. C - Cake or Pie? Pie. D - Drink of choice? Sweet tea E - Essential Item? A book to read. F - Favorite Colour? Blue, smokey G - Gummi Bears or Worms? Worms H - Hometown? Somerset, Kentucky although I was born in Louisville. I - Indulgence? Sweets J - January or February? I think February - more snow in KY.. K - Kids & Names? 4: Katey Elizabeth, Meaghan Kathleen, Conor James Alan, McKenzie Ann. L - Life is incomplete without? A garden to tend. M - Marriage Date? May 28th, 1988. N - Number of Siblings? Well, long story but 7, although I only grew up with 2 of them. O - Oranges or apples? Oranges. P - Phobias/Fears: I really hate roaches, but I can deal with them more as I get older. Anything happening to my children. Q - Favorite Quotation? I don't think I have one, but I heard Dave Ramsey say "Anything worth having takes Focus, Determination, and Dedication." That makes sense to me. R - Reason to Smile? Belly laugh of a child S - Season? Fall T - Tag three people! I really don't want to tag any one. U - Unknown fact about me: As much as I talk about myself on here I can't imagine anything I haven't already said, let me think though.......oh, here is a "terrible" one. My step-father once touched me inappropriately and I told on him immediately, and he once walked into my bedroom, when I was a teenager, when I was only in my bra and panties. Scared me at the time but not really that big of a thing now in my life. V - Vegetable you hate? Well if you fix them right I like almost all veggies, the ones that are common to us here anyway. I am sure I could find one somewhere that would be bad, but I don't know of one yet. W - Worst habit? Picking my nose in my car - wait, doesn't everybody do that?!! HA!! Y - Your favorite food? Pot roast with taters and carrots, gavy and cottage cheese Z - Zodiac? Taurus Labels: personal posted by Liz at 9:27 AM - permalink - - February 03, 2007 My blood pressure I just took it and it is 104 over 58 with a resting heart rate of 68. Seriously. It has always been like that, it was lower when I was pregnant. Ridiculous, huh? Alan said I should run a marathon - I would die in the first mile. Maybe with some conditioning I could do it - ok a lot of conditioning.Seems the women in my family have always been strong of body. My Grannie broke her hip twice and if she hadn't had Alzheimer's I think she would still be going. My mom I think would be the same way, if she didn't have polio. As she is getting older, that disease just gets worse, and it is upsetting her as she can do less and less. It "gets" you again in your 40's and she has been going down hill since then. A very strong woman, and stubborn as any mule you would want to compare her to. I love her and all her faults, think she needs to change some but what can you do. Maybe if I pushed myself I could be one of those Fitness America women who have 4 kids, get overweight, then make themselves look like they do. I also may be S.O.L. I think I am too old for the skin to shrink back where it should be. Oh, well, I just may have to settle for a good blood pressure. | Here is my blog. It is the thoughts and feelings of an "aging," homeschooling housewife who serves at a local restaurant. I am an average everyday normal kind of person, although my "normalness" becomes less so in today's society. Read on and enjoy or just realize you may not be the only one.
