WARP tour observations
Took the two oldest girls to the Warp Tour yesterday. ALL DAY!! It stared at 11 am and went until the last band played at 8p.m. Now I know that isn't a full work day, but when you aren't used to being outside for that long sweating profusely with no real place to sit and rest comfortably, it is a damn long day. I saw a lot of things, the best being Joan Jett and the Blackhearts!! Seriously, I could see the whites of her eyes!! And she is really skinny. HA!!

Let me start off the list of observations with the biggest revelation I had. According to what I saw, how people dressed and what those people looked like, I am pretty damn hot. I could have walked in there with a belly shirt and boy cut shorts and fit right in. The exception to that would include the alteration of my hair color and adding multiple tattoos and piercing. OH, and not had kids with me, no other than them being totally embarrassed that one would have been ok. Don't get me wrong some people look pretty cool with tattoos and piercings, but a lot of people I saw there yesterday were wanna be cool people - HA!!

1. I saw a boy probably Meaghans age or younger smoking pot not 5 feet from me and smelled it numerous times when the police weren't close by.
2. At least 2 people fainted from the heat within my site and there was one asthma attack.
3. Young people have not been taught courtesy of any kind or they just don't care to have any.
3. Mosh pits are of the devil.
4. Punk bands are pretty self absorbed and really can't sing - they scream.
5. Fuck seems to be pretty common language among EVERYONE in the world, except the hyper religious and they do it in secret!!
6. Apparently a lot of people have no respect for authority, specifically for George Bush and government in general.
7. I saw 2 cops get the same woman's phone number within 10 minutes of each other. She was inside Riverbend standing next to the fence and the cops were on foot or on a bike outside the fence. And she really wasn't that attractive.
8. Modesty is gone for both sexes.
9. Punk and Rock music all day long with no break is too much.
10. It is amazing how teens invest so much emotion into music and "what it means" to them.

I will leave it at 10 until I remember more of what went through my head yesterday. I just thought it was all pretty interesting.

Here is my blog. It is the thoughts and feelings of an "aging," homeschooling housewife who serves at a local restaurant. I am an average everyday normal kind of person, although my "normalness" becomes less so in today's society. Read on and enjoy or just realize you may not be the only one.
