Well now, look at this
I don't really have anything for you to "look" at literally. I do want to point something out and ask questions about it.

Meaghan broke her arm last night. She was at a horse show with her riding instructor and some friends - just to watch. Because she is so good on horses and they needed her to, she got up on a horse to warm it up. One of our horses and one she has been on before. Anyway, the horse got a little antsy and ended up rearing and partially falling on Meaghan. It isn't as bad as it sounds. I guess with the brunt of her weight and maybe a little of the horses she broke her humerus. Right under her ball joint. So at the hospital they were debating between surgery or what and decided to just umbilici it and let gravity pull the bone back down to its right position instead of having to surgically insert a pin. She is sitting here now in a little pain with drugs in her system to keep it manageable.

I called an Orthopedic doctor today, one that is supposed to be the best. The answer I got was "Dr. K----r isn't on call for the hospital you were at and I can only tell you his first available." When I asked when that was she told me August. HA, Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha. I then asked her if my daughter had to sit around with a broken arm until then. We might have an in road though, although I question going to someone who would give me an answer like that. I mean yeah, I understand he is good and he is busy and such, but damn couldn't they have even have said something nice? Stupid. I mean what has our society come to that someone would even consider saying that when a child is in pain? Stupid.

There are other things that bother me about the whole thing, some I just have to work through. An interesting thing is I called the horse owner to thank her for going to the hospital to check on Meaghan. She was sorry that it had happened and I kept reassuring her we know what the risks are any time Meaghan gets on a horse and that I in no way blamed her. I guess, once again because of how our society works, that she was concerned we might sue her or something. I am not that kind of person. The owner is a friend and I would never even think of trying to get money out of somebody because of such a thing. But I understand her concern, I would be very worried too.

Anyway, I just question the way some things work in our society.

Here is my blog. It is the thoughts and feelings of an "aging," homeschooling housewife who serves at a local restaurant. I am an average everyday normal kind of person, although my "normalness" becomes less so in today's society. Read on and enjoy or just realize you may not be the only one.
