It has been awhile
Sorry it has been so long but I really haven't had anything to share with the world lately.

I am excited that it is spring. Very excited. Me and the kids worked in the back yard the other day and got 4 or 5 more cinder blocks in the ground for the base of my wall. I think 4 more and we are good to go. Now I need to get some cement and some water blocker to put on the back of the wall toward the dirt, and I will have a wall up soon, I hope. I have joined the Arbor Day Foundation and got 10 free trees and bought a Little Leaf Linden. I love the way this tree smells. With that I got a free Red Maple. The Linden and Maple have been planted but I am still waiting on the others to get here. I hope I can get the wall up because at least one is going there. I think I am going to give some of the trees to my Mother-in-Law because she likes Dogwoods and I won't need all the ones I am getting. I forget what all they are but I know that Dogwoods, Redbuds and Hawthorns are in there some where. I highly suggest that if you are into trees that you join for 10 bucks and get 10 free trees and they have other trees fairly cheap. They come small, like 3-4 feet but they will grow fast.

In the front yard I made a flower bed in the front corner and so far I have just planted a rose bush. I am waiting for that last frost around the 19th so I can get all the flowers in. I started expanding the planting bed in the immediate front of the house back in November and didn't get done due to cold weather setteling in before I finished. So, I will get that done soon. Hopefully the next nice warm day.

I have been growing my hair for locks of love. It is down past the middle of my back and I have had enough. You have to have at least 10 inches of hair before they will take it. I was going to have it cut around the beginning of the year but it wasn't long enough to leave me enough hair so, I figured I would wait til I had 10 inches and today I am getting it all cut off. I have an appointment at 2:45 with an old friend who is very good. I just hope he has the guts to do what I want. You all pray for Alan because he likes my hair "longer" and I want him to like it when it all comes off (not that the length of my hair determines if he loves me or not, thank goodness that our relationship isn't built on something so shallow as looks). I want to like it too. I keep telling him that it will grow back and fairly quickly too. But this is a drastic change for both of us. Did you all watch the Miss U.S.A. pagent last night? I want Miss Washington's hair cut but in a longer version. The link thing isn't working on here right now but you can copy and paste this address to see what I want: http://www.missusa.com/delegates/2004/state/WA.html.

O.k. I guess that is all.

Here is my blog. It is the thoughts and feelings of an "aging," homeschooling housewife who serves at a local restaurant. I am an average everyday normal kind of person, although my "normalness" becomes less so in today's society. Read on and enjoy or just realize you may not be the only one.
