thanks giving
I know it's one word - stop correcting everything you see! OK, now that I've hollered at you, Happy Thanksgiving! It's a cool, sunny day here in Kentucky - supposed to be about 50 degrees F. Personally, I wish it was snowing, but oh well. My parents are here with us this year. We try to rotate our holiday travels. We don't have too far to drive wherever we go - either to Louisville or Corbin. We try to do the Thanksgiving rotation though, there, then the next year there and the next one here.
This is the "here" year. I'm an only child (in case you didn't know) so my parents came here to join us. No more kids for them to celebrate with. The cooking has been going on since last night - still happening. We'll eat around 1 or 2pm I guess. Anyway, I just wanted to put a little post up today sometime. I looked and found a cool Scripture quote for today - it's the Canticle from today's Morning Prayer in the Liturgy of the Hours. I'll leave you with that. Have a good day. Grace and Peace be with you.
I give you thanks, O Lord; though you have been angry with me, your anger has abated, and you have consoled me, God indeed is my savior; I am confident and unafraid. My strength and my courage is the Lord, and he has been my savior. With joy you will draw water at the fountain of salvation, and say on that day: Give thanks to the Lord, acclaim his name; among the nations make known his deeds, proclaim how exalted is his name. Sing praise to the Lord for his glorious achievement; let this be known throughout all the earth. Shout with exultation, O city of Zion, for great in your midst is the Holy One of Israel! –Isaiah 12:1-6
