monks and abbots, oh my
Well, a monk who's not really a monk and a so-called, once-called abbot who's not really an abbot. there we are, a big ole Catholic boy and a big ole Baptist boy, hangin' out in Lexington today. Believe it or not, we actually went to Mass together with his wife Denise at St. Peter's downtown. That's Michael Spencer, by the way, the Internet Monk himself. Then Denise went off to spend time with their son and Michael and I went off to eat lunch and talk. It was a good time.

Michael and I have met once before when he and Denise showed up at our new deck inauguration party not long back. We've been trading comments on our respective blogs and e-mails for a while. This innernets thang is pretty interesting sometimes. It's a pretty cool thing when you can actually meet some of the good people you've gotten acquainted with through the blogosphere. I've got a few more of these e-friends that I want to meet someday, in a few different parts of the world. Anyway, today was a pretty good day. Thanks for coming up and over Spencers. I'm sure we'll do it again sometime.
