Today marks the beginning of the new era in the Creech household - yes, another one. Many of you who are parents have gone through this a long time ago, but for us it's new today. Our son Conor (left) and our youngest daughter McKenzie (right) went to school today, outside this house. They're our two youngest and we've home-schooled them their whole lives so far, so they've never been to "a school" before.
Conor got on the bus to go to his first day of high school and Liz is walking McKenzie to her first day of middle school (7th grade). They were both fairly nervous about this day. I prayed for/with them both this morning. School can be a harrowing experience, especially in the grades that Kenz is going into. I remember many not very pleasant days back then. Kids at that age can be seriously evil to one another. Pray for them if you think about it.
It'll be quite different around here with no kids in the house at all during the day. We've never known that. We don't regret at all our decision to home-school them to a certain age. It will be odd indeed to have all this quiet around here. And life moves along. Pray for us too.
