My Dad had a sort of bypass surgery today. It's called a Carotid Subclavian Bypass, in which they rerouted blood from his carotid artery to flow around a blockage in the artery that feeds his left arm and ba-boom, blood-flow and goodness. No chest crackin' is a good thing. Everything went extremely well! No ICU after - straight to a room and probably home tomorrow. Very good stuff. We are very thankful. I told him now he should be able to hop down the creek bank and go fishing. He'll also be back working at their church's food pantry in short order I'm sure. So, good news here. Thanks be to God.
