Now, I've caught one fish in this pond before and I knew there had to be some bigger ones in there. This is a farm pond that's been there for a long time. It simply now has a neighborhood sitting next to it. So we took a walk last night and I conveniently brought my fly rod along with a few pieces of choice equipment and there you go, I caught 5 fish - 3 largemouth bass and 2 bluegill, on top of the water.
After our lovely storm yesterday (tons of rain and hail, etc.) we had a nice evening and the fish were feeding heavy on top. The water was just dimpled everywhere and therefore, I caught some of 'em. I have a new place to fish, and I can walk there! Whaaaat!? Very cool. I'm not a huge pond fisherman, but it's nice to have a place so close where I can actually catch some nice fish. And yes I threw them all back so shut up. I'm making smarter fish so only smart fishermen like me can catch them later when they get huge.
