merry christmas eve
Well, it's here, pretty much. Our Advent is all but over. Merry Christmas Eve! It's quiet around the Creech home this morning. All the kids are still asleep. McKenzie was up a bit earlier but then went back to bed with the instructions, "I'm going to sleep so don't yell at me." OK Kenz, we won't.

I've learned to like quiet mornings. I last-minute wrapped Liz's 2 presents, came back downstairs, got the coffee and then Liz and I prayed the Morning Office. She's now getting ready for work. Yeah, sucks, but she has to work today. It'll be mostly a relaxing day. When she comes home we'll do our family tradition of opening one present on Christmas Eve. We'll also do our last Advent devotion as a family. 4 kids is handy with those 4 candles. Each child has a candle that they light for that week. They also read the reading for that night. This morning McKenzie, the youngest, said "I get to light my candle tonight!" They think it's cool to light their candles.

Tonight, Vine & Branches won't be meeting at our regular 6:30 time slot. We're having a Midnight Mass as we did last year. We'll start at 11:30pm and celebrate the liturgy of Christmas Eve. It will act as our Christmas worship together altogether. And of course the Christmas Season isn't over yet, but that's tonight. That's all for now. Peace be with you and Merry Christmas.
