thoughts on a saturday
Just the perfect day here today, especially after the sweltering hot and humid week or so we've had. It's sunny but not humid, a light breeze blowing, not quite 80 (probably there now). I'm sitting outside in the front of the house at the moment. Liz and I have been sitting out here for a while, drinking our coffee and talking while the sun is still at the back of the house. It is fast encroaching on me so I'll not be here much longer. I just wanted to post. Peaceful morning.

Yesterday Meaghan had her procedure to remove the pins from her arm. She's very happy. It went well and she's on her way to strengthening that arm back up and being "normal" again, as she says. Good stuff. Still another month before she should ride a horse though - oh well. Healing and building strength takes time.

My oldest daughter (child at all) - Katey - will be 17 tomorrow. Wow! Hard to believe. OK, the tear ducts are filling up, oh man. She's a great person, this Katey. She's a lot like her Dad, so what else do you expect!? ha! She will go to college next year about this time - aMAzing. It's sort of real but not totally yet. Anyway, she's having friends over tonight and we're cooking out for her party. That means I have to go clean here in a minute.

Aaaggghh! the sun, it burrnss uss! I must fleeee!
