liturgical prayer seminar > photos We had a lovely little seminar today, very good time. I thought it would be good, or I wouldn't have done it, but it was better, I think, than I had anticipated. I think I learned more than I thought I would. There was a lot of mutual encouragement and some great observations shared.
I may share more later, but I wanted to show you the photos I took today as we gathered. Check them out here. Also, here's some fun - a few quotes and thoughts I wrote down as people talked, just short things...
God pays attention to my prayers because I'm in Christ
Liturgy is the skeletal structure of the community
We echo Jesus, the Word, as we pray the Psalms
We can pray AS the community even when we are alone physically
Prayer is an orientation of our lives
Ther's nothing complacent about doing the same thing over and over again
And the recording was a success! It's a little "hissy" but clear. It's also huge, about 3.5 hours of content, at smallest 25mb as an mp3. So, I have a little editing to do and I'd like to put it up as a series of podcasts maybe, as well as one larger file for anyone who's interested to download. I'll let you know when that's ready. Peace.
