visitors Good time tonight with our visitors. We've been talking about this for a while and the girls finally made it down to hang out with us. Kelli and Heather from the Landing Place in Columbus are staying the night tonight. We've been eating, talking, laughing, listening to music, etc. for a while. Everybody's gone to bed now but me. My night-owl nature comes out on the weekends and holidays.
Tonight just made me think how good it is to have relationships with people - to be able to build those relationships. We have these amazing relationships with people in other faith communities in this area that have built up into something significant over the last few years. And now it's not just Palmer, whom I've known for a while, who would come here and visit, you know, the leader, but others who are a part of that community whom we've met and gotten to know a little. I just think that's an extremely cool thing. I'm grateful for it.
I like not being isolated and all alone. I like not having to "fend for myself" in this still yet odd ecclesiastical landscape. I like that we are taking advantage of these gifts that God has given us in these connections. I also like that we're treating them like relationships and not stepping stones to something else or like businesses or something more or less than what they are. Give us Grace to stay that we Lord.
