Last day of no work. I have to go back tomorrow. That's a bit of a hard thought when you've been off for a bit more than two weeks straight. I'm a man of liesure for God's sake! OK, let's not get carried away. At least what I'm going back to isn't really bad, not something to dread. I'm grateful for that. The house is slowly being stripped of Christmas decorations. The tree fell down - that's what started it. ha! I know it's not all over till Epiphany, but you know, decorations don't make or break Christmas, or they ought not.
Subjects I intend to deal with in the not too distant future...
"Then, if we cannot as yet think alike in all things, at least we may love alike. Herein we cannot possibly do amiss." John Wesley
"Keep your eyes on the crucifix, for Jesus without the cross
is a man without a mission, and the cross without Jesus
is a burden without a reliever." Fulton J. Sheen
"...I am deeply convinced that the Christian leader of the future is called to be
completely irrelevant and to stand in this world with nothing to offer but his or her own vulnerable self." Henri Nouwen
