I sat down, covered in the blood of my enemies, and I rested because that one, that one over there who came to kill my brother, lies dead.
That was a result of Saturday morning's battle in the spiritual realm. I believe something significant was accomplished. We saw the Kingdom.
This weekend was full of life. Reunions, hugs, talking, talking, talking, fire, food, drink, tatoos, tears, song, prayer, love. I can't really do a good job describing it. God has given us a gift, a gift of relationships, one that cannot be manufactured. We've said yes to it. That's all we can do, keep saying yes to it. It can't be copied or cloned. I'm grateful. As always, I took lots of pictures. Here are a few of them. Later today I'll put more up on my Flickr page.
"Then, if we cannot as yet think alike in all things, at least we may love alike. Herein we cannot possibly do amiss." John Wesley
"Keep your eyes on the crucifix, for Jesus without the cross
is a man without a mission, and the cross without Jesus
is a burden without a reliever." Fulton J. Sheen
"...I am deeply convinced that the Christian leader of the future is called to be
completely irrelevant and to stand in this world with nothing to offer but his or her own vulnerable self." Henri Nouwen
