happy thanksgiving

This may mean something only to Americans but happy Thanksgiving! It's been a full day and yes, I have had a FULL stomach. We had about 14 people over to the house today - family from both sides and two good friends. We baked one turkey and deep fried another - gooo oood. I was a little nervous about how the mix of people would work but it was a good time. I'm looking forward to having more bunches of people in this house in days to come.

I'm off work tomorrow as well. A little time with Liz and the family will be a good thing. Pax vobiscum.

"Then, if we cannot as yet think alike in all things, at least we may love alike. Herein we cannot possibly do amiss."
John Wesley

"Keep your eyes on the crucifix, for Jesus without the cross is a man without a mission, and the cross without Jesus is a burden without a reliever."
Fulton J. Sheen

"...I am deeply convinced that the Christian leader of the future is called to be completely irrelevant and to stand in this world with nothing to offer but his or her own vulnerable self."
Henri Nouwen
