Karol Wojtyla has moved on to the next dimension. Why do I care? Well, I'm human and a Christian and I do have a personal connection to the man, in a way, and to the Church of which he was head for 26 years. I remember his election. It happened when I was in my first blushes of investigating Christianity through the Catholic Church. So, I sort of came into the Kingdom around that time. I suppose I am now stepping outside "my own context" in the micro, and into my larger context as a member of the great Mystical Body of Christ. I'm also touching my spiritual roots I guess. If they are not yours, I wouldn't expect a connection like this.I have always had great respect for the man, even though I see the systemic problems both in the Catholic Church and in other Churches. He was seemingly full of integrity and did not bend to those who called for him to "get with the times" in a bad way. Someone said, on TV just now, that "his throne was not very high" - that says something good about him. Let us pray for the Holy Spirit to guide the Cardinals - fill them. Can God work in the Roman Catholic Church? Certainly He can and will. Does that mean He can work through a Seeker Church too? Perhaps now is a good time to say I think He can. This does not put away the deeper things I've said and will continue to say about ecclesiastical problems. I just wanted to say this now. Peace be with you and to the Church of Rome. St. Karol, pray for us. :::

three quotes |:: "Then, if we cannot as yet think alike in all things, at least we may love alike. Herein we cannot possibly do amiss." "Keep your eyes on the crucifix, for Jesus without the cross
is a man without a mission, and the cross without Jesus
is a burden without a reliever." "...I am deeply convinced that the Christian leader of the future is called to be
completely irrelevant and to stand in this world with nothing to offer but his or her own vulnerable self."
